My Caseys in Tennessee descend from John Casey of Duplin Co. and Wayne Co. of North Carolina. John Was the son of Micajah Casey of Wayne Co. possible the son of Charles Cayce of Manchester Parish, Chesterfield Co., Va. who mentions a son Micajah in his 1776 will.

John is purported by many sources to have had 27 children by three wives, Polly Bass, Rebecca Lewis and Nancy Norris. I have also seen accounts of this family that contain birth dates which would imply a Bible or some other documentation which I have not been able to find. Anyone out there know about this?

My descent is through John Casey, Jr. son of John and Polly Bass (Does anyone know for sure who her father is?). John migrated before 1840 to Madison Co., Tn. and married Perlina Jane Hamilton, daughter of William N. Hamilton and Mary McCullough, both born in Chester Co., S.C. All that I have on the descent of John Jr.'s family is below for several generations:
