1. Searching townland in Ireland of Catherine CASEY born about 1838....
obituary stated in County Kerry. Immig. ?1858-62. In Michigan copper mines
in 1860's. Obituary states twin sister Ann CASEY MARTIN. Died in
Minnesota. Death record which may be incorrect says: Father: Patrick
CASEY Mother: Mary
2. ?Sibling / ?cousin: Ann CASEY MARTIN born about 1840 County Kerry.
Immig. ?1858. Married Henry MARTIN from England. Death record states
father Michael CASEY and mother Julia O'CONNOR.
3, ?Sibling / ?cousin: Patrick CASEY born about 1834. Married Mary
O'CONNOR. Lived next door to Ann CASEY MARTIN family in 1870 Michigan
Keweenaw County census.
Have searched all possible US documents, cemeteries, churches and extended
family. Everything just says "Ireland." Killarney Heritage Center last
year could not find anything, but they did not have all the County Kerry
records. Now that they are closed, what are people doing to look in Ireland
short of going to Dublin and doing it oneself? Irish researchers have told
me there are too many Casey's to search....I must have the townland.
Must be others in this same CASEY dilemma.
Thanks for any input.
