Mary,
First of all I am not exploding because one I dont know anything about
Ambler , Uriah Casey and I am sure that everyone gets tired of seeing
references to certain publications or manuscripts but let me say this I have
never said anything was a fact and like you I dont just take what I read
from Walter , or Harold to be a fact , I have enought common sense alot like
others on this list to ask questions and get responses and I just dont use
this list to do it. I have seen some lineages in Walters manuscript that are
wrong and I will state the obvious one of Benjamin Casey and Julia Carson
being the father of Col. William Casey he wasnt and I will give anyone a
three page report on it. It is wrong in the manuscript but give these
gentlemen some credit they did it by mail in thier time , they didnt have a
computer to go to KY, SC , MD, VA . I just dont depend on any manuscript I
descend from the Ducketts, Ridgley's, and that is Gen Levi Casey line and
his wife is my gggggg Aunt in my Duckett line so I am able to compare some
notes not counting the Whittens of SC , around Whitmire SC or the Hill
familes of SC.
If there are mistakes on Ambler and others please inform the list what they
are so they can get on the right track. I like you want the correct
information but if our Casey Cousins dont have the information to correct
then they will always be in the dark.
By the way list the copy of Walter E. Casey manuscript mostly dealt with his
family and mine , he put in information given to him he never mentioned in
that manuscript it was the gospel nor did Harold or Lewis or George it was
findings something for you and I to look at and make something out of their
research.
Mary is correct dont take it for the Gospel but dont look at everything you
read is wrong either. I havent researched Jesse Casey family or Ambler Casey
as I have my own opinions of the Christopher Casey line like Mary I have
some questions that haven't been answered.
You take the Nicholas Casey father of Abner Casey I saw what was emailed I
dont disregard it because someone else has that opinion especially when I
cant get past Abner Casey in my own research nor have I tried.
I wonder how many researchers of the Casey family actually know anything
past Abner Casey other than what was handed down , Lewis Casey never did say
who his gg grandfather was did he , he knew that Randolph was his
grandfather.
Walter in his manuscript said it is hard to figure out many of the families
as information is hard to come by.
In closing I would love for some one to correct my line or help me with any
bad information I have been on this list maybe two years and have acquired
alot of notes but documentation is another thing I havent seen much of where
it was found I do tell where I found it right or wrong.
By the way this is not a blast to anyone it is just my total opinion of
Casey facts and information. No harm to meant to anyone.
