Cause Began: 1770
Chapels: 1780; enlarged 1797; 1831; 1853
Location: Marble Hall Road, town and parish of Llanelly
Branch of: Ty newydd, Llanedi until about 1810.
Periods of Growth: During the ministry of David Rees (1829-69) At the
beginning of his ministry there were 250 members. By 1873 there were 900 on
the books.

1837-1904 NLW (3) Register of marriages, 1837-70 and of burials 1842-51
NLW. (4) Building committee minutes, 1852-53; also 4 certificates of
transfer of membership 1866-69 NLW. (5) Registers of members 1832-68;
1909-23 contributions by the church to various causes, 1863-64 NLW. (6)
Sunday School teachers attendance register, 1856-84; also notes on teachers
meetings, 1856-77 NLW. (7) Sunday school attendance register 1897-1929 NLW

members and paid to the poor. 1855-72 (10) Account book of receipts and

printed materilas, two registers of certificates of transfer granted to
members of Capel Als moving to other churches, 1867-1902, 1903-19 NLW. (12)
List of subscriptions received on promise towards rebuilding the chapel,
