My mother was born in Nitzkydorf in 1899 and came to the U. S. with her
parents and sisters in 1903. The Lorenz and Kleinmaus families had been in
the town from the late 1700's as German settlers. I don't know anything
about the town itself, but I have a letter from Germany from a man who sells
videos of the villages in the Banat, including Nitzkydorf. The cost is $70
and I'm not sure of its content, so I'm a little hesitant about sending for
the video. The FHL has microfilm of the church records of Nitzkydorf through
1850. I need information for 1850 to 1900.
