Here is some information about Martha Remer Connor's books and the 1828 tax
census from past postings to the Banat list:

For all interested....Martha Remer Connor has authored a series of books
which are extracts of the 1828 Hungarian census. She has extracted all the
entries listed in the village sections for Bacs-Bodrog, Baranya, Torontal,
Tolna and Temes counties. She lists only the names of each entry and any
titles such as Senior or Widower.

Many of the original census pages were in bad shape and she has been able
to organize it into a valuable resource.
