Hi Don
Do you have any details about your John Crawford. I have a Crawford family
living in Glasgow where there was a son John who I do not know a great deal
about. I am interested because he married a Margaret Algie. Two of John's
nieces have the name Algie as their middle name. This family often gave the
children surnmaes of sisters and in laws as their middle names.
My John's father was Charles Crawford a grocer in Dalmarnock Road who died
in 1837. John was I think the eldest son as he was the executor of the will
but I have not been able to trace his birth. I think he may have becomne a
grocer and spirit dealer like his ftaher.
If this ties in I would love to heat from you.
Regards
Cathy
