Can SKS tell me is there any record of Irish orphans being sent to Scotland
in the 1850's

Looking for Catherine McMULLEN/ McMILLEN

she was only about 14/15 when she came out to Australia ... she left from
Scotland..

A cousin seems to think she was an Orphan that was sent to Scotland...and
then was sponsered out to work for a Family here in Brisbane...

Her wedding certificate states she was born in Antrim..Ireland... Parents
Robert Mc Mullen/Millen and Mother Nancy..McIlese..or Mc Innes.... this is
not clear...
according to the certificate she was born in 1850...

Havent found her entry into Australia yet..... but it would be before
1865..as she was in Brisbane then...which would make her only 15...if the
wedding certificate is right.

maybe she wasnt an orphan maybe the Family moved to Scotland.

does anyone have any ideas.
