Hello. I am stuck with a family and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. George Davis (born around 1766 in Ireland) and his wife Helen (don't know maiden name, born around 1776 in Ireland) and their son, Thomas (born between 1811 and 1819 in Ireland) appear in the 1841 and 1851 census for Maybole in the Welltrees area. They were cotton weavers. Thomas married his first wife Helen in 1836 in Kirkmichael and Maybole (banns in both towns). I am unsure if there is any way to determine from where in Ireland this family came. From what I understand, there were quite a few immigrants from Ireland into Scotland that were ancestors of people from Scotland sent to Ireland? This is where I get a little confused.
Thanks,
Kelly
