Hi,
Im still trying to find the parents, birthdate and birthplace of my g g g grandfather James Dickie he married Margaret Gemmell possibly in 1751 in Fenwick [from IGI]. They are both buried in the Fenwick Churchyard.

Children were; David b 1853, James b ?, died 1757, Margaret b 1759 married John Pollock, Janet b 1762 married James Taylor, Peter b c 1771 married Janet Murchland, these are my g g grandparents.

On the IGI I have found the following James Dickies births/christenings who would possibly fit and I wonder if anyone can lay claim to these James's so I can eliminate them from my list of possibles. Its a bit hard to apply the naming pattern because of the gaps between the childrens births

James b 1723 Unthank Kilmarnock s/o Adam Dickie and Jean Campbell.

James b 1725 Kilmaurs s/o Alexander Dickie and Elisabeth Gemmell.

James b 1 feb 1725 Ayr, s/o James Dickie and Jane Rob
