Hi,

If anyone has the 1861 Census for Kilmarnock, AYRSHIRE and would like to
help me,I am trying to find out if my Houston family were there then.

Adam HOUSTON and his wife Margaret JONES were in Kilmarnock in 1862 with
possible children William b Neilston 1849, Nathanial b 1855 Paisley ( My
Grandfather), Mary b 1856 Govan, Margaret b 1857, Partick, John b 1859 Govan
and Adam b 1860 Govan.

Should look like:-

Adam HOUSTON age 35 - Slater or Calico Printer- Born Ireland (1851 Census)
or Kilmarnock ( 1881 Census)
Margaret (JONES) age 33 born Kilmaurs
William age 11 born Neilston
Nathaniel age 5 born Paisley
Margaret age 3 born Partick
John age 1 born Govan

I don't know if Mary and Adam survived to 1861 but these above did.
