Greetings all,
The consensus is heavily in favour of Vintner.
I had felt that myself, but have never seen that listed as a trade in all
the 23 years of death registers and 7 years of marriage registers.
I always understood that a "Vintner" was one who made wine, and to my
knowledge Ayrshire is/was not wine country.
But, I will note in my records that this one probably was in that business.
