Would SKS out there more knowledgeable than I, clear up a point: The "early"
(17th & 18th Century) Birth Records on the IGI and also the GRO site only
indicate the name of the father. Is there some way to find out the mother's name?
I would guess that what appears on both IGI and ScotlandsPeople would be the
same and therefore there would be no further information recorded on film --
how about ordering a certificate from the GRO? I suspect that it will only show
what is on the ScotlandsPeople site. Does anyone have any experience in this?
