Are you sure about STARK as the maiden name of the mother?

I found a Robert WALES, silk weaver, living in Barony, Glasgow for the 1881
census (below). He was from Ayrshire and had a son Robert born 1877. He is
living with some of his other children, his second wife, Elizabeth, and her
daughter.

The births of two of the children from the first marriage:

Rebecca WALES b. 16 DEC 1867 Irvine, Ayr, Scotland
Parents: Robert WALES & Jane RICHMOND

Janet WALES b. 02 NOV 1870 Irvine, Ayr, Scotland
Parents: Robert WALES & Janet RICHMOND

There are other births listed for this couple in Irvine, but these two
children were living with their father in 1881 and also Robert jr. age 4, born
Glasgow.
