Eadem Sessione

The Qulk day there being a refference made to the session be Alen
Broun in gabroch hill portioner of grassyeard, and Alexr Ross there,
that they would determine and deside, annent a debate about their seat
in the kirk, which Alexr Ross claimed intrest in, as his oun. The
session finding upon consideration, that these do belong to the Earle
of Lodoun, being at the first asigned to his grand heritor when the
kirk was devided. Also Matthew Miller lays claime to the sd place in
the kirk in regard of his superiority over the south part of
grassyeard, and his other intrest in the raithmill of nether raith
gray does therefore condiscend unanimusly as their minde in this
matter, that Alexr Ross being with in possesion and claiming an
intrest in the double desk as his oun, shall have which of the seats
he pleases to pitch upon, and Alen Broun shall have the other seat
that shall not be choisen be the sd Alexr Ross: and further that there
shall be room for two persons of the Raithmill in the sd higher desk,
and one to annother in nether raith in the lower desk, be choisen by
whomsoever, providing always that Alexr Ross shall be satisfied, for
the timber and work of an & & desks; as workmen shall determine, be
the respective persons presenting the same.

John Broun forsd, for fornication wt Jannet Hilhouse, being a relaps,
appeared before the congregation six sabbaths and was absolved.

Sess febr 27 1694

This day Thomas Gemmill Adam Gilmur John Gemmill and Steven Wallace
gave acompt of their diligence in fitting the treasurer his acompt,
and found charge and discharge agree, and that there remains in his
custody 15 pound Scots for which he is to b countable to the session

This day Marion Warnok is delated as gulty of fornication wt Patrick
Mccallie, servitor to John Adam in weilyland, is appointed to be
sumond to the nixt session.

Sess March 14 1694

The Qulk day, being cited, was called and compeared Marion Warnok, and
confessed the guilt of fornication wt Patrick Mccallie. The session
understanding, that the sd Patrick is to leave the country, betwixt
and the next sess, agrees that the Minr go to him, and take his
confession before witnesses, and report.

Sess Aprill 1, 1694

This day the Minr reports that he went to Patrick Mccallie as was
appointed, and he had confessed to him, before several witnesses, that
he was guilty of fornication wt Marrion Warnok, the session appoints
to cite Marrion Warnok to appear in publick before the congregation
the next lords day, and seeing that the sd Patrick had now left this
place the session accepts of his confession to the Minr before
witnesses as Judicial.

The Qulk day it is reported, that the preby had conveend at the time
appointed, and also the heritors (intimation having been made acording
to appointment) and did declared the Kirk Manse and school sufficient
in glass slate and painting.

The Minr reportd that the presbys minde was that Elizabeth Hopkin
should satisfie at this place, the(y) appoint her to be cited to their
next meeting
