I have been researching the family of Robert Brown and Rachel McMaster who had 10 children--I can account for 8 of them but the last record I can find on two sons--Matthew born 1860 Maybole and Thomas born 1862 Maybole--was the 1881 census when they were living with their parents in Dailly--both were listed as coalminers. I have traced 5 of their 6 daughters to the US by 1895 and the 6th daughter married a Kerr and remained in Scotland. The other 2 sons, Robert and William were in Ochiltree in 1891 and 1901 and died there. I am just at a dead end on these 2- I have found a possible Matthew in the US in 1910 but can not be sure yet and was hoping maybe someone out there would have some information. Thank you.

PS One of Robert and Rachel's daughters who went to the US was my husband's great grandmother.
