"Fenwick Decr 8 1839

The united assoceate Session met and was Constituted by the Rev William Orr
Moderator were present along with him John & Thomas Taylor David Dunlop
Alexd Watt John & Alexd Gemmill William & James Young John Clachan & James
Boyd Thomas Taylor Reported that according to the appointment of the Session
he had Conversed with John Young who had Received him in the most friendly
manner and acknowledged that he had acted improperly in quarreling and
fighting at Fenwicktown in Novr last and Said that he was sorry for what he
had Done and would Study to be on his guard for the futer the Session
Delayed the farther Consideration of his Case untill next monthly meetting
Session The moderator Stated to the Session that he had Received
Certificates from James MacKinnies and his wife which were Read the Session
Agreed to admit him to the fellowship of the Church and his wife Delays
Coming forward on this occasion from bad health From Reports the Session
appears to be in Doubts about the Conduct of Alen Galt Junr towards his
father on the 29th of Novr last the Session appointed Robert Lindsay John
Gemmill & James Boyd a Committee to make enquirey and Converse with him and
Report to the Session
