Sess att Finnick Novr 1 1699
The Qulk day the Edict of the sd persons nominat for Elders has been
returned and called, and non having appeared to object The Session doth
agree that the sd persons viz William Gilmur David Weily and Thomas Broun as
Elders and Alexr Weer as a deacon, be orderly admited in full of the
congregation upon the second sabbath of this moneth of Novr being the in
evening thereon
The Qulk day Robert Fulton being deleeted for suspected murder of his child,
The Session doth appont Robert Walker and Archball Campbell two of their
number to Enquire of him how had disposed of his child, who a considerable
time since, had privatly conveyd away, and to report to the next meeting of
Session
This day Also Margaret Miller (replaced "Weily")is deleeted for theft, is
appointed to be summoned to the next Session
The Qulk day it is reported that Helen Weily forsd hath appeared three
severall sabbath days publickly according to appointment for scandalous
cursing, and was rebucked, but not absolved, because she remained insensible
of her sin

The Qulk day it is report, and apponted to be recorded that that the
forenamed Elders &C, viz David Weily in skerneland Tho Broun in Mooryet, and
William Gilmur in Oldhall Alexr Weer in Brest, was publickly ordained before
the congregation in their respective offices, upon the twelvth day of Novr
last
After sermon had is that purpose
The Qulk day Robert Walker and Archball Campbell gave acount of their
dilligence, in enquiring annent Robert Fultons child, did so report the
matter of the suspicion of the murder of his child, could not be removed,
the Session appoints him to be cmd to the next meeting.
This day also the Sess under remding that Margaret Miller (replaced "Weily")
hath not been cmd to this Sess apponts her to be sumned to the next meeting

The Qulk day, Rot Fulton being cmd was called, but did not compear, The Sess
thinks itt w proceed no further in such a dificultt matter till they have
the preby mende there annent And therefore Reffous the same to the preby for
?
This day being Cmd, was Called and Compeared Margaret Miller, confessed she
was guilty of theft, an was deleeted, shewd remorse for the same, was passd
at a sessionall rebuke but whether or no, it should be publickly intimate to
the congregation was refferd to the next Sess
