"Fenwick Decr 25th 1838

The united assoceate Session met and was Constituted by the Rev William Orr
Moderator with praise and prayer and was Succeded in the Same Excercies by
John Dunlop were present along with them Alexr Watt Robert Lindsay John &
Alexr Gemmill James Young James Boyd James Dunlop and Andrew Pecken the
Committee appointed to Converse with Mrs James Gemmill anent her not going
to the Church Reported that they had Conversed with her and She has promised
to atend the ordinances of the Gospel The Session appointed Robert Lindsay
James Young and James Boyd a Committee to Converse with Robert Carruthers
and enquire into his Case and Report to the Session Agreed that the
Kilwining petition lie sill on the table and the quarterly Collection for
the funds of this Congregation to be made as Soon as Conveient the Committee
appointed to Converse with James Gemmill Gave in there Report which did not
fully Satisfie the Session Reappointed the Committee to Converse with James
and his wife and Report to the Session Granted a Certificate to Margret
Young
