"Fenwick May 12th 1837

The united assoceate Session met and was Constiuted by the Rev William Orr
Moderator were present along with him John & Thomas Taylor Alexd Watt David
Dunlop Robert Lindsay John Gemmil William Young and Andrew Pecken the Edict
of James Boyd being Returned and no objections being given in to the Session
they agreed that he be ordained to the office of the Eldership in this
Congregation on Sabbath the 21 day of this month Granted a Certificate to
Mrs Love Moorend the Committee appointed to Converse with Math Gemmil
Wylieland Reported that they had Called on him and was frindly Received by
him but he did not See his way Clear to accept of the office of an Elder in
this Congregation
