"Fenwick March 29 1837

The united assoceate Session of Fenwick met and was Constiuted by the Rev
William Orr moderator with praise and prayer were present along with him
John Taylor John & David Dunlop Alexd Watt Robert Lindsay John Gemmil James
Young Alexd Gemmil Entered on the Consideration of John Wallace Case and
after some Conversation on the Case agreed as John was in waiting to call
him before the Session Compeared John Wallace and acknowledged that he had
done considerable injury to his aunt in his Conduct to her in Counterfeiting
her name to bill and after Some Conversation on this Case tow motions were
made and Seconed the first was to Rebuke before the Session and to Continue
the Suspension for Some time The Second motion was to appoint a Committee to
make enquirey in this case Regarding the feeling that Subsists between John
and his friends and the extent of Sin Committed in this case the last motion
was agreed to and the following Committee was appointed Alexd Watt James
Young and John Gemmil along with the moderator and to Report to the Session
Compeared Janet Blair and acknowledged that she was guilty of fornication
with Benjamin Auld and after a few questions being put to her by the
moderator the Session was Satisfied with her answers and ordered her to
apear before the Congregation on Sabbath first and be Rebuked for the Sin of
which She has Confessed herself guilty appointed Robert Lindsay and Alexd
Gemmil along with the moderator a Committee to Converse with her Compeared
Thomas Shedden and Stated his wife was Rather ailing and not able to atend
this day the Session ordered Thomas and his wife to apear before the Session
on Sabbath first in the morning if Conveient for them
