"Fenwick March 12th 1837

The united assoceate Session met and was Constiuted by the Rev William Orr
moderator were present along with him John & Thomas Taylor John & David
Dunlop Alexd Watt Robert Lindsay John Gemmil and James Young The Session
entered on the Consideration whether the ordenation Shall be in the usall
way or adopt the new mode which is by prayer and the laying on of the hands
of the Session The vote being taken the Session was unanimous to adopt the
new plan with which the Breathren Elected Concured and agreed to the Session
ajourned to the place of worship where an appropriate Sermon was delivered
by the moderator from Philipains 2 & 17. Andrew Taylor Elder from Fultons
lane Congregation Killmarnock was present and was envited to Coraspond in
the ordenation after which the questons of the formula was by the moderator
put to the breathren Elected to viz William Young John Clachan Alexander
Gemmil James Dunlop and Andrew Pecken and after prayer by the moderator they
were solemly ordained to the office of the Eldership in this Congregation by
the laying on of the hands of the Session after which Sutable addresses was
given to them and the Congregation by the moderator John Taylor Reported
that Margaret Walker had aplyed to him for a Certificate and he had granted
her one in his own name in interam of Session with which the Session agreed
to
