Dear Harriette,

I am also researching LOCKHARTs in Ayrshire in one of my collateral lines. Do you know who Samuel's parents were and if there were any siblings?

The IGI lists the following additional children for Samuel LOCKHART & Margaret GUTHRIE:


1. Margaret Hannah LOCKART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: F Christening: 28 Mar 1822 Tarbolton, Ayr, Scotland


2. Agnes Johnston LOCHHART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: F Christening: 25 Apr 1831 Tarbolton, Ayr, Scotland


3. James LOCKHART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: M Christening: 25 May 1820 Ochiltree, Ayr, Scotland

I found two marriage register entries for Samuel & Margaret's wedding - at least one would be the calling of the banns:


1. Samuel LOCHART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: M Marriage: 26 Dec 1817 Stair, Ayr, Scotland


2. Samuel LOCKART - International Genealogical Index
Gender: M Marriage: 12 Dec 1817 Ayr, Ayr, Scotland
