"Fenwick Feby 23d 1837

The united assoceate Session of Fenwick met in the Session house and was
Constituted by the Rev William Orr moderator were present along with him
John Taylor and John Gemmil John Clachan who was Elected to the office of
the Eldership was present and the Session Entered into Conversation with him
about his acceptance of the Call to the Eldership and after Some
Conversation with him in trying to Remove Some of his objections the
moderator proceded according to the Rules of the Church to ask a few
questions at him of his Spiritual knowledge and the Session Expressed
themselfs Satisfied with his answers granted a Certificate to William Young
Fenwicktown
