Hi Christina,
I checked both the Auld Kirk and Wallacetown Cemeteries but Hawthorn wasn't listed. He was however listed in the publication "Old Parish Records - Ayr (578) Vol. 13 Deaths -January 1820 to December 1854".

[name, date of death, date interred, other info., age, cause of death]
Stewart Hawthorn, 30 Dec 1850, 2 Jan 1851, Barracks, 50, Bowel complaint
