"Fenwick Feb 16th 1837

The united assoceate Session of Fenwick met in the Session house and was
Constituted by the Rev William Orr moderator with praise and prayer and was
Succeded in the Same Exeries by John Taylor were present along with them
John & David Dunlop Thomas Taylor Alexd Watt Robert Lindsay and John Gemmil
David Dunlop Reported that he had Conversed with Thomas Shedden and he
Stated that it would not be Conveient for the, atend on this day but was
willing to atend on a Sabbath night the above Report was Sustained by the
Session - Entered into a frindly Conversation with the following Breathren
Elected to the office of the Eldership William Young James Dunlop Alexd
Gemmil and Andrew Pecken the Moderator proceded according to the Rules of
the Church to put a few questions to the Breathren present of there
Spiritual knowledge and the Session Expresed themselfs Satisfied with there
answers the Session agreed that the Edict of the Breathren Elected present
on any who may afterwards Come forward Shall be Served in this Congregation
on Sabbath the 26th day of Feby The Session agreed to Resolved themselfs
into a Committee of the whole members present along with the Breathren
Elected to hold a frindly Conversation and Report to the Session Robert
Lindsay was Called to the hair and Entered into Devotional Exceries with
praise and prayer the Committee Entered into Serious Conversation on the
propriety of Sitting Down all at once to Eat the Lords Supper and after
Considerably Conversation the Chair being Resumed by the moderator Reported
that Elders Converse with the members of there Respective quarters who may
not formly have been called on or those who may have objections against it
and hear there opinions on this Subject and Report to the Session at there
next meetting on the 10th day of March the Session have to Regret the
absenses of four of the breathren Elected but have agreed to envite them to
atend a meetting of Session on Thursday the 23d Curnt at 2 oClock afternoon
