"Fenwick Febr 2d 1837

The united assoceate Session of Fenwick met in the Session house and was
Constituted by the Rev William Orr Modr with praise and prayer and was
Suceeded in the Same Excercises by John Gemmil and John Dunlop were present
along with them John & Thomas Taylor David Dunlop Alexdr Watt and James
Young the Session entered into Serious Conversation with the following
persons who have been elected to the office of the Eldership in this
Congregation viz William Young John Clachan James Dunlop and Andrew Pecken
who were present Alexr Gemmil Mathew Gemmil James Boyd and Mathew Dunlop
were not present after Considerably Conversation with the Breathiren the
Session agreed to meet again on Thursday the 16th of this month to converse
with the Breathiren Elected to the office of the Eldership and to transact
the ordinang business of the Session agreed to Receive a Deputation from the
Scottish Missionary Society and to make a Collection in aid of the funds of
that Society The Session regret to learn that Thomas Shedden and his wife
have been guilty of aledged (word added later) antinuptional fornacation
appointed David Dunlop to warn them to atend next meetting of Session
Reviewed the poors roll and agreed to give a number of the poor on the Roll
and Cart of Coalls each to aid them in this inclement Season and appointed
the quarterly Sacrament to be observed in this Congregation on Sabbath the
19 of March next
