Margaret.Thank you for your response.I have traced My Callows back to the 1839,IOM.I did check the census-1881,1891and 1901.and I have copies of latter 2.I do not have a copy of Catherine and Martin's marrage, just what I have seen listed on the Scot.Registar.I did receive ,from a IOM resident, info taken from the IOM 1861 census of the following:-" 1861 census district 5,entry 80,Quarter land
Martin Callow,head,married,22.Lead miner,Maughold.
Catherine,wife,married,22,domestic affairs,/Andreas.
Catherine,daughter,unmarried,1."
also:-
"1851 census.district 2,entry 29.Ballacrebbin.
Thomas Radcliffe,maried,51,labourer,Andreas.
Isabella,wife,married,49, Andreas.
Catherine,daughter,unmarried,12, Andreas.
Elizabeth,daughter,9, Andreas."
Also I received contact from Clive Callow- Who has an intensive research on the IOM Callows.
He added to the latter above-Isabella = Anderson.and Robert Radcliffe, brother of Catherine,b 1829-.You might want to get in touch with Clive-he is a mind of info.
Re tree on the Scottish side I can send that to your e mail ,if you wish.Note I had thought it was Catherine Redfern [ family info] But I now believe it to be Radcliffe.
If I can be of further assistance then please email me .Great to hear from another cousin.Sheena.Texas USA.
