Hi Phyllis

I ordered in the 1871 census for Kilwinning (film #103963) as well as the
1861 film (maybe you didn't realize they were both there!). It's at the FHC
until March 11 if you want to have a look at it this week.

Subject: [AYR] DINNING FAMILY - 1851 & 1871 CENSUS

Hi List:
I wonder if someone has access to the 1851 and 1871 census index (or the
census itself) for Kilwinning Parish. On the 1861 Census Enumeration
District #15, Schedule #89, at Main Street, I found the following:
Margaret Dinning, head, Married, 51 yrs. b. Ardrossan
William Dinning, son, 9 yrs. b. Kilwinning
no mention of the husband, but she is listed as "married" (not widowed.)

If anyone can find these two on the 1871 census (if they're still in
Kilwinning), then perhaps they have the husband/father with them this
time. Or maybe on the 1851 census there will be just Margaret and her
husband. In any case, I'd be really grateful to find out the husband's
first name, to see if he can help me get to my own Dinning line.
Thanks in advance for any help available.
Cheers,
Phyllis
