In case any of you are researching Scottish ancestors and are interested in
the Scottish Wills Project and the prices they will be charging once the
wills are online, see the note below from their Team leader. You may access

Thank you for your enquiry from the SCAN website.
Our charges for full-colour electronic copies of wills via the
internet (at www.scottishdocuments.com) will be as follows:
1 will £5 (about Canadian $11.35)
3 wills £10 (about Canadian $22.70)
5 wills £15 (about Canadian $34)
The charge is fixed, regardless of the length of the will (anything
from 1-100 pages, but mostly in the range 3-8
pages).
We expect that this service will become available for 19th century
Aberdeen and Edinburgh wills from 6 April.
Wills from other areas of Scotland will become available during the
course of the year.
If there is sufficient demand we hope in time to extend our service
to provide full colour paper copies
