"Fenwick 4th Decr 1834

The Un: Ass: Session met and was constituted by the Moderator with praise
and prayer. Were present with him Wm & John Gemmell John & Thos Taylor John
and David Dunlop Jas Brown Robt Lindsay Alexr Watt & Jas Young Junr. The
committee appointed to converse with John Young reported favourably. The
Session agreed to relieve him from scandal and he being present was relieved
accordingly - Appointed Dav: Dunlop and Robt Lindsay to enquire into a
report regarding John Sheddan. Compeared John Steel, the Session agreed that
he be publicly rebuked - he said he would take this decision into
consideration - Compeared Jas Sheddan and his wife, and in the
recommendation of the committee who conversed with them were relieved from
scandal - Robt Orr and his wife being present were also relieved in like
manner - Granted certificates to John Young and his wife, Mr Jas Young, Mr
Shields, John Robertson - Read the communicant roll - agreed to admit 12
young persons to the fellowship of the church - Appointed the fast on
Thursday next according to Presbyterial recommendations to offer
thanksgiving to God on Thursday next for the late abundant harvest, and the
removal of alarming diseases from the neighbourhood.
