I'm also researching the surname GILLESPIE.

Margaret NIVEN, my 2nd great grandaunt married Andrew GILLESPIE. See
information below:


1. Margaret NIVEN was born 1840. She died 15 Oct 1891 in Kilwinning, AYR,
SCT. Margaret married Andrew GILLESPIE, son of Andrew GILLESPIE and Agnes
WYLIE, on 9 Jul 1861 in Kilwinning, AYR, SCT. Andrew was born 4 Oct 1839 and
baptized 10 Nov 1839. They had the following children:
2Fi.Ann GILLESPIE was born 12 Jul 1862 in Kilwinning, ARY, SCT. She died
13 Sep 1862 in Kilwinning, ARY, SCT from hoping cough (1 month) and nervous
symptoms (3 days).
3Fii.Agnes GILLESPIE was born 26 Jul 1863 in Saltcoats, AYR, SCT.
4Fiii.Ann GILLESPIE was born 28 Sep 1865 in Kilwinning, ARY, SCT.
5Miv.James GILLESPIE was born 17 Jul 1867 in Kilwinning, ARY, SCT.
6Mv.Hugh GILLESPIE was born 1869? in , NS, CAN.
7Fvi.Marion GILLESPIE was born 1871? in , , USA.
8Fvii.Margaret GILLESPIE was born 1876 in , ARY, SCT.
9Fviii.Elizabeth GILLESPIE was born 1876 in , AYR, SCT.
