Hi! This is a long shot! I'm just starting my search. I'm beginning with a James Alexander Anderson born in 1839. Fought in the Civil War (Iowa 20th Infant) was a captain of a wagon train on the Oregon trail moved to Dayton, WA. Any connection to your james?
