I'm about to admit defeat with at least one ancestor in Scotland - he just
does not want me to know who his parents are. He was born in the "missing"
years of the parish records and died in a poorhouse with parents listed as
"unknown". I feel like there is no other place to look now. And it is not
like me to give up - but what is there left to look at?
