Maybe some of my Connels help: I have Charles Connel, born abt 1747 Irvine,Ayr
married abt 1772 to janet Watson, born abt 1751 Irvine, Ayr. These are
the children I know of: Margaret Connel b 15 September 1777 Irvine Ayr,Janet
Connel born 6 June 1777 Irvine..,Alexander Connel born 21 Dec. 1781 and
Elizabeth Connel born 8 May 1784 also Irvine Ayr. Elizabeth married James
Stewart in 1805 and all this took place in Irvine Ayr according to the
IGI... not all of this has checked out with Scots Origins...The surname
might have also been spelt Connal. Good luck!
