Last year there was an article in Highlander Magazine about the Battle at
Red Ford. It mentioned young William Wallace and Neil Campbell attending
school together. This was the basis for the friendship that lead to the
victory at Stirling Bridge. Was this at Ayr Academy about 1280?

Also are their any McCalls from Ayr Academy? My oldest ancestor so far is
Edgar McCall in 1204 that I posted this week on this site.
