Hello Listers
I've lost my TORRANCE family! One of my gm's sisters - Agnes
McCall ms CORNELIUS known as Nan (born Ayr in 1881 d/o John CORNELIUS &
Agnes ms McCALL) married David Brown TORRANCE in 1904 in Govan, Lanarkshire,
and died in Falkirk in Stirlingshire in 1972.
I know of six children from an old family list drawn up cir
1925. They are: Agnes McCall TORRANCE (Nancy) b.1905, Catherine Brown
TORRANCE (Cathie) b.1907, George b.1911, John, James and a baby, sex
unknown; there could have been more later. The first 3 children were born in
Govan.
Although there are Lanarkshire and Stirlingshire connections,
the family also had Ayrshire connections.
Are there any bells ringing for anyone? Though they'd be in
their 80s, some of them may still be alive. Are their Electoral Rolls (or
Voters' Lists or similar) that could provide a clue?
Many thanks.
