Newmilns who has a brother there still another brother GEORGE is in North Q.
ANDREW McLANNACHAN has been here 40yrs and hails from Cumnock.His cousin was
Mrs. WILLIAM WILSON High Todhill Fenwick.
ROBERT FLEMING from Kilmarnock An Ayrshire native Sir Thomas McIlwraith is
recognised as Queensland's greatest Statesman. JOHN RAMSAY third son of JOHN
RAMSAY of Cauldstanes. JOHN DUNLOP of Gree. Dr. GIBSON Dr. Gibsons father
the late MAXWELL GIBSON was the first child baptised by the first free
church minister Rev. Mr. Maxwell. In Lismore James Dunlop meets his cousin
WILLIAM DUNLOP of New Zealand. Professor McMillan the dairy expert at
Lismore is a brother in law to Mr. JAMES YOUNG OF Midtown Fenwick. Mr.
Thomas Brown who was born at Birniehill near Maybole. Rev. CRANSTONE a
native of Stewartown. We also met W.S. BOLAND and was driven 60 miles to
see his mother who is 88 the sister of JAMES TAYLOR of Dalraith Fenwick. and
to the late Mrs Watt in Stewartown. On Sunday I had the pleasure of hearing
the sermon of DR. DUNLOP who is a nephew of JAMES DUNLOP of Gree. Fenwick.
ROBERT WATSON late of Davel. I had invitation from several friends in the
Western Wheat districts to visit Among these where GEMMILLS, FISHERS, BOYDS,
AND BICKETS. TOM YOUNG of High Todhill, JOHN BICKET his father was a
Shoemaker at Waterslap Fenwick. His mother was a BARR of Bankhead. JOHN
GIBSON shoemaker of Fenwick. Mrs Gibson who died a short while ago was
MARION GEMMELL also of Fenwick and a sister of ALEXANDER GEMMIL.ROBERT
GIBSON his wife also hails from Fenwick her father JOHN McLEOD lived for a
long time in Poriskin Fenwick while her mother was another of the BARRS of
Bankhead. Betty
