Hi Bob,

Have you tried the Poor Relief Records for Kilmarnock?

Unless they were taken in by family, friends or neighbours then there is
a good chance they ended up in the Poorhouse at some stage. Sometimes
you can get a lot of information from the Poor Relief Records.

East Ayrshire FHS sell the Kilmarnock Poor Relief Records for £8 [I
think]. Their URL is: http://www.eastayrshirefhs.org.uk/ I do not know
if they will do a lookup - perhaps you may want to ask them.

I do not know if the East Ayrshire historians will have this - you may
want to ask them first. Their email address and a list of resources from
the main Ayrshire GenWebPage at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctayr/index.html

The East Ayrshire historians will have the Index to the 1891 Ayrshire
Census on fiche as do the other local historians. You may want to ask
them for a lookup for all your family at the same time. Obviously the
girls could have married so would appear under their married name but it
may be worth a try. That would make it easier to check for their
marriages - you can check the indexes online at Origins which is a fee
paying site or from your nearest LDS. More details on this at the
Ayrshire How To Guide: http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctayr/howto.html

Happy Hunting

Regards

Alex
