William Wight McLachlan,eldest son of John McLachlan(b: 1849,Kilmarnock) and Barbara Nmi Wight(b: about 1854),
born 1 March 1873,Abbey(Paisley),Renfrew
married Annie Ferguson(b:3 Oct 1872,Kilburnie,Ayr),daughter of Thomas Ferguson and Margaret Morrison
m:24 March 1899 at the Free Church (Gourok,Renfrew).

William had a younger brother John(b:Oct 1874).
William spent time in the military before emigrating to South Africa with his wife in the early 1900's.
They had 8 children in South Africa(the eldest may have been born in Renfrew):

Looking for any information concerning William McLachlan and family
and his father John McLachlan and family.

My father is McLachlan and William Wight McLachlan is his Grandfather and his father was the second son,also William Wight.
