In trying to do research on my family, it appears my Kennedy Family ancestors
were once owners of the Tam O'Shanter Inn in Ayr which was frequented by
their friend the Poet Robert Burns. The Tam O'Shanter Inn is apparently
now a museum and still active. I have written to them for information on
my Kennedy Family but as yet have not received a response. Does anyone
out there have any information on either the Tam O'Shanter Inn (The Leddie's
Inn) at 230 High Street, Ayr, Scotland or on my Kennedy ancestors? Specifically,
I am interested in my Great Grandfather, Thomas H. Kennedy born in Scotland
about 1854/1856. I believe his middle name may be Harcourt. I do not know
where he was born in Scotland or the names of his parents. I would appreciate
