Hello Listers

I am looking for the baptisms of the children of James BRODIE
and his wife Ann. In the 1841 Census, they had 3 sons, all born in Ayrshire
and living in 1841 in Montgomery Street Lane, Ardrossan. Their children were
presumably baptised in Ardrossan - Alexander cir 1833/4, NeilsonNeilson in
1836; and James in 1839/40.

One puzzlement is that there is a baptism in 1840 of a James
BRODIE in Ardrossan, the "lawful son of James BRODIE & Christina THOMSON",
although the Census says that James's wife is Ann.

The possible death of Christina Thomson/Brodie cir 1840 could
point to Ann as a second wife - although 'James BRODIE' could well be the
name of more than one man in the area.

Is anyone able to help untangle this web, please?

Many thanks.

Pam
