This is the first time I'm posting to the list. I'm looking for the family of Thomas Orr b. 1800 who married Jean Richard b. 1809 in
Dreghorn in 1823. They had the following children: William b. 1824 in West Southbroke, John Richard b. 1826 in West Southbroke, Elizabeth b. 1828 in Ayrshire, Thomas b. 1830 in Dumfries & Charles Ronald b. 1832 in Dumfries. The family left Scotland and was living in LaSalle, Illinois by 1840. Thomas's parents may have been William Orr & Elizabeth Steel from the
Kilmarnock area. Any help would be appreciated.
