Helen,

the British or UK directory enquiries can be found at
http://www.bt.com/phonenetuk although we now have our own parliament we
still don't have a separate telephone system, yet.

Please note that about a third of the people in the UK are now on cable and
I don't think their telephone numbers will be included.
