Catrine was in the Parish of Sorn during the 1700's and early 1800's, that
is where most all my ancestors were. You would have to check Sorn for any
old parish records. I can do some looking up to see if Jamieson and/or
Murray are among them.
Catrine was the Mill Town, whereas Sorn was the "old villaga". They are 2
miles apart, both alongside the River Ayr, which is the second fastest
flowing river in Scotland. (I don't know the first)! Judy Caldow
