Would anyone know if the monument inscriptions for the cemetery (next to
Scottish Church) on the main street in Dundonald have been transcribed?

My wife and I have returned from 3 weeks in Scotland and we visited the
cemetery to view my Allison relatives. I think the headstones are the
only ones in the whole cemetery blocked by an Irish Yew tree. Since the
burial was early 1800s that tree is so big one cannot get behind it to
read the complete inscription. It looks like the stone was put up by
Robert Allison in memory of John Allison. The stone next to it could be
Robert's grave. All I could read here was the lower right corner and to
my surprise it mentions a second wife Marion Porter who died 1836.

I'm not sure that if I had had a chain-saw I might have removed the
tree! But did not want to leave a bad impression of Canadians.
