When I started out, about 3 years ago, researching my family tree I became
so interested in finding ancestors in bygone days. When I discovered a new
name with dates and places I began to wonder what life was like for these
ancestors and what there living conditions were like. I never gave much
thought to the other descendants of these ancestors particularly those
living around the world today. That is until recently, only last night I
received information which confirms that the people I met in New Zealand 2
months ago are in fact cousins. We are all descendants of 2 brothers born in
Dailly, Ayrshire in the 1820's. When I look around these cousins I can
better picture what my ancestors may have been like.
I am just realising that there is more to genealogy than Births, Deaths and
Marriage dates and places.
