Hi all,
and thank you Paul for the info on the sessions.

Just to give an example...... I was at a genealogy lecture a few years ago
and one of the speakers was Robert Starret from Edinburgh. He was using his
own family from Beith as examples. Since mine are from outside Kilbirnie I
paid close attention. He had a church session record of two women that had
a fight (gasp! on the street!!) calling each other names. Not only were they
brought up but also the withnesses. One of them was my ancestor Patrick Orr.
It was 1706.
