Iain thanks for all the information and the names of two books that we
can read about the commandos and my Aunt will look into these. My Uncle
was in the Welch Regiment and the No 1 Commandos. Another member gave
me a website address for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and I
found not only Andrew PLLU but his brother Cochrane and also a cousing
John PLLU. This site gives a little information about when they died
where they are buried (if know) and also often the names of the
parents. The site address is www.cwgc.org
The site also has a memorial page with the person's name on it, which I
downloaded and put into a frame for my Uncle.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my questions about the Spean Bridge
Memorial the Cutty Sark the Thermopylae and the commandos. I now have
lots of leads and am busy following them up.
