The cause of death, especially the words "Demential" and
"Degeneration" almost suggest to me a doctor looking for ways of
describing simple old age! It I was correct in such a thought, I
wonder if 5 Dalmellington Road might simply have been the family
home? I'm assuming number 5 indicates that it's almost in the town centre.
